Arizona Virtual Office & office space

Why would i need a virtual office in Arizona?

The state of Arizona is located at the south west section of the United States bordering Mexico, and is well known as a desert state. The Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is located within northern Arizona. This is one of the greatest tourist attractions in this state, apart from numerous other national parks, Indian reservations and monuments. The largest city here is the city of Phoenix, which also functions as the state capital. With a state population of over 5 million, other prominent cities within this state include Tuscon, Mesa and Scottsdale.

Arizona enjoyed a total GDP of $187.27 billion in 2004, contributed largely by the copper mining industry, cotton production, high-tech, cattle, citrus and tourism industries. The aerospace, software, telecommunications and electronics industries actually contribute more than 14% of the total employment of Arizona.

Phoenix Virtual Office

The city of Phoenix is the sixth largest city in the United States, with a city population of 1.4 million and over 3 million in the Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler and Glendale metropolitan area. Traditional industrial contributors here include cotton and citrus production, but diversification taking place over the past decade has seen other industries flourishing in this city, such as the high-tech, research and telecommunications industry. Of course, tourism and golf are also important industries that have contributed to the city’s growth and wealth.

The central business district of Phoenix, also nicknamed Copper Square, is bounded by Fillmore Street at the north, Jackson Street at the south, 3rd Avenue at the west and 7th Street at the east. Major streets here include Jefferson Street, Washington Street, Adams Street, Monroe Street and Van Buren Street, all which run from the west to the east of Copper Square. Major buildings within Copper Square include the City Hall, Wells Fargo building, Renaissance Square and Phelps Dodge Tower along Washington Street. The U.S. Bank Tower is located along Adams Street, while the Chase Tower and the Federal Building are located along Van Buren Street.

Another prominent set of commercial buildings within the central business district are the Phoenix Convention Centre North and South buildings, both of which are located side by side along 3rd Street that runs from north to south of Copper Square. The Chase Tower on the corner of North Central Avenue and Van Buren Street is the tallest skyscraper in the city, with the Bank One Corporation as the major tenant here.

Phoenix also serves as the headquarters to several Fortune 500 companies such as Avnet, America West Airlines and Phelps Dodge Corporation. While the Phelps headquarters is located at Phelps Dodge Tower, Avnet and America West Airlines are located outside Copper Square, with Avnet at University Drive close to the Sky Harbor International Airport and America West Airlines at Sky Harbor. With these great companies setting up their headquarters in Phoenix, this helps to make this city a prominent location for a virtual office or an office space.

Tucson Virtual Office

The city of Tucson is located 118 miles south of Phoenix and with a population of over 520,000, is the second largest city in Arizona. Much of the city’s economy is dependent on the University of Arizona, which is the largest employer in Tuscon. Apart from that, military activity is also prominent here with the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and the US Army Intelligence Center. Apart from that, many high-technology companies such as Texas Instruments, IBM and Bombardier have set up their offices in Tuscon.

Downtown Tucson is roughly bounded by Speedway Boulevard at the north and the 22nd Street at the south. Major streets here include St. Mary’s Road, Congress Street, Pennington Street and Broadway Boulevard. The Interstate 10 runs through downtown Tucson from the north to the south, in which other major streets branch out from.

The Central Business District of Tucson is virtually segregated into several sections – the Congress St. Area, the 4th Avenue area, the Convention Area and the Presidio Area. 4th Avenue is the area between 3rd Avenue and 5th Avenue from east to west, and ranges from University Boulevard at the north to 10th Street at the south. This place is renowned for shopping, dining and nightlife with retail outlets lining the streets and restaurants such as the Bison Witches Bar & Deli and the Carusos Restaurant. With this, 4th Avenue would be a suitable location for virtual offices dealing with retail businesses. In the area known as the convention area, The Tucson Convention Center is situated at the corner of South Church Street and Granada Avenue.

Main streets in the Congress Street Area include Pennington Street, Congress Street and Broadway Boulevard. This is where major arts buildings such as The Historic Rialto Theatre are located. The Presidio Area of Tucson is where all major commercial buildings are at. Major streets here include North Church Avenue and North Stone Avenue. The tallest building in Tucson, Unisource Energy Tower located at South Church Avenue, stands at 330 ft and is the office for companies such as Ernst and Young as well as Tuscon Electric Power. Other buildings here include the Bank of America Plaza located at the North Stone Avenue and the Pima County Legal Services Building also on North Stone Avenue. Therefore, this would be an area that would be suited for a virtual office setup or an office space for a commercial business.

Mesa Virtual Office

The city of Mesa with a population of about 450,000 is the third largest city in Phoenix, and coincidentally is also part of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. This city is largely a residential area with about 150,000 households, which is why there are an abundance of schools and recreational facilities catered for families, as well as museums and cultural centers such as the Mesa Arts Center and the Mesa Amphitheater. Main roads here include University Drive, Country Club Drive and Main Street. Furthermore, there are two airports in the vicinity of Mesa – the Williams Gateway Airport and the Falcon Field Airport, which are mainly used for aviation, commercial and cargo transportation activities. Many corporations have flourished from their proximity to these airports, including Boeing which has set up a hub at Falcon Field.

Conclusion

In conclusion, with many large cities such as Phoenix and Tucson located in this state, Arizona is indeed an ideal location for a virtual office or an office space especially for businesses involved in the aerospace, education, tourism, services and technology industries. On top of this, the various tourist attractions as well as the warm weather both work hand in hand to spur continuous economic growth in this otherwise desert state.
