Newark Business Center

Other than being a commercial center, Newark also functions as a cultural center with places such as the New Jersey Performing Arts Center situated at the One Center Street right opposite the Military Park in the heart of downtown. Additionally, other cultural and historical centers can also be found in Newark, namely the Newark Museum and the New Jersey Historical Society. Thus, setting up a virtual office for businesses in the arts and culture industries would be ideal for this city.

In terms of retail outlets, Newark is also filled with an abundance of shopping facilities. For instance, many retail business outlets line the streets of Broadway and Market, offering products of brands such as Eclipse, Old Navy and Porta Bella for apparel items, the 168 Gift Shop for gift items and Barbeque Hut, and restaurants such as the Newark Fish Market and Kansas Chicken. One of the best locations to set up a virtual office for retail would be the Gateway Center situated along Raymond Boulevard. Indeed, many businesses such as the Market Street Bar and Grill, Gateway Cosmetics and the Gourmet Lunch Box all can be found here. With this, the vicinities of Market Street, Broadway Street, Raymond Boulevard and the Gateway Center are areas that would be ideal for virtual office setups.

Jersey City Virtual office

The second largest city in New Jersey would be Jersey City, considered as part of the New York metropolitan area. Similar to Newark, New Jersey is also an important commercial center in addition to being a transportation hub. The manufacturing industry is important in New Jersey, with corporations in the businesses of textiles, chemical production and cosmetics manufacturing setting up their facilities here.

Downtown Jersey City is bounded by Washington Street, Montgomery Street, New Brunswick, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Streets, with Newark Avenue, Marin Boulevard, Christopher Columbus Drive, Jersey Avenue and Grand Street. Skyscrapers abound within the central business district area, with three major concentrations of buildings situated around the downtown area. This would include the areas along the Hudson River, Baldwin and Montgomery Street as well as the Journal Square.

Skyscrapers here such as the 30 Hudson Street, the tallest building within Jersey City, the 101 Hudson Street, Newport Tower, the Exchange Place Center and the Harborside Plaza, are some of the possible locations suited for the set up of a virtual office in Jersey City. These are but just a handful of the string of commercial skyscrapers all occupied by corporate offices of businesses with a presence in Jersey City.

In conclusion, these two cities form the core commercial centers for the small state of New Jersey. As they are both renowned as being transportation hubs, ports and commercial centers with a proximity to New York City, they would make great alternatives for virtual office setups in view of the more expensive downtown New York City area. After all, with the facilities readily and the high numbers in manpower ready to manage virtual offices or office spaces for business owners, both cities are indeed eligible for this function.

New Jersey Virtual Business Center

As the fourth smallest state in the country, New Jersey also has one of the highest population densities in the country. With just a state size of only 8729 square miles, New Jersey is home to a more than 8 million people. Indeed, it’s proximity to the states of New York, Philadelphia and Delaware has contributed to its economy and also the high population growth. Major industries that flourish here include the agricultural industry such as the production of fruits and nuts, seafood and diary products. In fact, New Jersey is most renowned for its cranberry and egg plant production. Apart from that, chemical processing is also prominent here, while food processing, equipment manufacturing and tourism function as some of the more important contributors to the economy. Also, one of the greatest activities that New Jersey is renowned for is it’s abundance of oil refineries all of which are situated along the New Jersey Turnpike.

Much of the dense population areas are concentrated on the eastern side of the state, primarily close to the coastal areas. The largest cities here include the city of Newark, Jersey City, Paterson and Elizabeth. Its state capital of Trenton however, only has a population of over 85,000, relatively small in comparison to the other larger cities with population sizes of above 100,000.

Newark Virtual office

The city of Newark is located at the north east section of New Jersey, just 5 miles away from Manhattan, New York. One of the greatest functions of New Jersey would be its port facilities at Port Newark, through which container shipping volume of over $100 billion (2003) is being shipped through this seaport annually. Apart from that, other forms of transportation services are also prominent here in New Jersey, with the city functioning as a hub for rail, sea, air and road transport.

The central business district of Newark is approximately bounded by Highway 280 at the north, West Market Street at the west, Passaic River at the east and the Lincoln Historic District at the south. Major thoroughfares here include Broad Street, West Market Street, Springfield Avenue, Court Street, Raymond Boulevard and Lincoln Park Street. Indeed, this city is an interesting mix of commercial buildings, cultural areas, historical buildings and retail shops.

The bulk of Newark’s commercial buildings are located along Market Street and Broad Street, or along other streets in its vicinity. Some of the most renowned buildings in this city include the National Newark Building, which stands at 465 feet and which is also the tallest building here. It is strategically situated at the intersection of Broad Street and Clinton Street, and was recently restored in the year 2000 since its opening in the 1930s. Amongst the tenants here are Broadview Networks, Cogent Communications, Worldcom, Lawsuites.net and Metromedia Fiber. Thus, this would be an ideal virtual office location for businesses in the technology and legal sectors.

Other prominent skyscrapers in Newark include the 118 Raymond Boulevard, the Prudential Plaza Building at Broad Street and the 80 Park Plaza, also at Raymond Boulevard. These buildings function as the commercial offices to banks such as the Independence Community Bank, utility companies such as Public Service Electricity and Gas Co, and legal firms such as Esq. Law Offices of William E. Frese. In fact, there is an abundance of commercial buildings all over the city, providing business owners with a wide range of choices of virtual offices and office spaces.
